This place is devastated and needs your help. Look at the waterline on the back of the wall.

When I last lived in Swannanoa 2018-2020 I would go to this laundromat because it was just right down the road from my house. The washers and dryers are very fast and efficient (that was something that I dreaded was the long wait for the washers and dryers to finish but not here!). My clothes and blankets always came out nicely cleaned and dried. I love that it was quiet and very clean when I would go. I’m not sure about now but at the time that I would go the traffic of people washing clothes wasn’t high which personally I liked, coming from a person that has anxiety being around a lot of strangers. The last time I was there was back in 2021. I was commuting from West Asheville all the way to Swannanoa just to wash my big comforters because I did not trust any other laundromats! I had been wanting to write this review and never got around to it until now.

My washing machine broke unexpectedly and I desperately needed to do laundry. Found this place online and it definitely lives up to its reputation - exceptionally clean with great options for size of machines and choice of cycles - might not buy a new washer immediately as it was nice to do all my laundry at one time.

Update: 5 months later they found my blankets and gave them back. Owner was pretty adamant I update my review. Added another star for doing the right thing. Tldr: dropped off blankets for washing service, they got stolen. I dropped off a couple of blankets to be washed around 2:00 p.m.. The next day I didn't hear anything about my laundry so I showed up around 4:00 to check the status and I saw the blankets in the dryer. The lady working there said that I can pick them up The following day. The following day I never got a message indicating where I should pay, apparently their software is broken. I got a message saying that I could pick it up and I got a locker code. When I showed up and put in the code my blankets were gone. Someone stole them from the locked lockers. The owner came and pretty much said there was nothing they could do and looking at the security cameras wouldn't tell them anything.

Very nice. Clean and friendly employees. Lots of nice and clean washers and dryers in different sizes and they just added 4 very nice large washers and 4 very nice large dryers. Easy to get in and out parking lot and free parking. Little store beside it to get drinks and snacks while washing. Clean restrooms. Great place highly recommend.

Solar Suds is the most innovative laundry mat ever! Their drop, wash, and fold service is wonderful and very affordable. They even offer free pick up and delivery! Usually laundry mats are an unpleasant experience…but not this one. The owner, Melissa, is there regularly. She is sweet and friendly and does a wonderful job running the place. She makes you and your business feel like you matter and she gives each of her clients special attention. I almost wish I didn’t have a washer and dryer so I could visit more often!

Incredible service, wonderful product! Melissa is very easy to get ahold of. She graciously accommodated an urgent load of laundry after both of our children had nighttime accidents on the same night of our vacation. She kindly expedited our order without compromising quality or service. Our laundry came back in perfect condition, thoughtfully folded. No potent fragrances or perfumes. Perfection!
