I came to Ivy Rehab (Hollymead) after having broken my distal radius (arm bone near the wrist) that required ORIF (surgery/hardware). Three weeks after surgery when the splint/bandage were removed, I began seeing Kim regularly. My wrist and hand had very little ROM and strength when I first arrived, but Kim has carefully guided me through the last 6 weeks to where I now have about 80% of my original ROM and strength with plans for further improvement. I can't say enough about Kim's knowledge, care, encouragement, and humor. I look forward to my OT sessions with her and her tools. The entire staff there has been wonderful and I highly recommend them!

He is attentive friendly and compassionate. He listens, his explanations are excellent, and his prescribed therapy effective. I can recommend him without reservation. This is the very best physical therapy center in or around Charlottesville.
I have been to many other physical therapy centers in the past and I have never received such good care and attention. My opinion is that Darcy, who is the director of Spectrum, really knows what he's doing and has employees that know what they're doing. I feel that Darcy really cares genuinely for his patients and that is why he became a physical therapist. We are not just another number on a page, we are treated as a whole person. So many doctors, etc, just treat people as symptoms. They don't seem to want to see the whole person and treat us accordingly.
I have suffered from diblitating migraines since I was 6 years old. I have tried so many different treatments and drugs over the years, none of which has ever really stopped my migraines. Darcy was recommended to me by a friend who also suffers from migraines. She told me that Darcy had changed her life. So I decided to give it one more try... These treatments, in the form of dry needling, have saved my life. I was getting up to 23 migraines a month, I sometimes would end up at the emergency room 2 times a week! I had no life, and felt very discouraged. Now that I am in physical therapy, I get less than 5 a month. I can see that it is possible for me to stop having migraines all together! Since I am being treated as a whole person and not just the sum of my symptoms, I am now looking forward to going off some of my medications. I am truly grateful for all the help and support I get from Spectrum! You won't find a better, more caring and professional therapy center anywhere!
